Photography: A Father's Day DAD Photo Montage

One of my neighbor friends came to me with a Pinterest idea she had found. You may have seen it yourself, or even done it, it was to take three pictures with the kids holding D-A-D letters and frame them for father's day. So thankful she came to me with this idea, as I don't frequent Pinterest in fears that I will feel inadequate, and incapable of mastering all of the cool ideas and projects it has to offer.

Anyhoo, her idea (from Pinterest) was simplistic genius. I felt I had to share with all of my mom friends at Fit4Mom, my super awesome, butt kicking, mom workout class.

What I didn't realize when offering my photo services for this cute project was the overwhelming, wonderful, response I would receive. I spent the last week before and after our class times doing mini-mini shoots with the cutest (most well behaved) kids. These ladies and their children put a huge smile on my face.

On a side note I have to give a shout out to a few specific mommy friends, you know who you are. It is only when put in certain situations that you find out who is most genuine in your life. Without even thinking twice my mom friends jumped into action watching Copelan and Crew for me while I focused on my work. They didn't even want a "thank you" or "return the favor", because that's what friends do, help each other. So thank you.

Of course I tried it out with my own kids first. Copelan is aways great a great model.

Seriously though, I feel so honored I was able to do this. Below are a few of the moments I captured that were given to many dads today.

Photography: Newborn Session: Crawford Hill

Crawford Hill Allen was born May 21, 2014 to my good friend Katy, who's maternity pics are further down on the blog. This little man was 12 days old when I captured these moments.

Not much needs to be said about this shoot other than it was done on my dining nook floor while Katy wrangled our 4 other children to keep them away from the baby (this isn't typical of one of my shoots don't worry). Never a dull moment when multiple children are involved :)

After delivery moms are tired and are craving rest, not in the mood for pictures. I know, I remember almost dreading doing Crew's newborn pictures because they do take some effort, but I am so glad I did them. Parents please take an hour or two to have your infant's pics done, if not by me someone else. If not 30 shots, do 3. They are memories you will wish you had later on. I had to beg Katy to take these and I'm glad I did because they are so stinkin' cute! So, thank you Katy and Crawford.

A little glimpse behind the scenes, Katy straightening the fabric after Crew crawled on it. Again, this is not typical, I will not bring my kids to your house for your photos unless you ask, ha.

 Sweet sisters, Ashlan and Neely

(Once again not typical)
Copelan wanted to get in on the action. He loves babies, but doesn't show the same affection for his brother, go figure.
