Photography: High School Homecoming 2014

Last weekend was Byron Nelson High School's homecoming. I had the privilege of capturing some moments for these super fun freshmen. Yes, I just said freshmen and wow have times changed, I did not look like this as a freshmen (because hair straightners and ProActive had not yet been invented).

Congrats girls on looking amazing, hope the dance was a blast!

Photography: Newborn and Family: Ratzlaff

I am one lucky lady; seriously. As most know, I do not publicize my work other than posting this link every now and then to my Facebook page so when I get clients they find me. I cannot tell you how thankful and grateful I am for each one of these "clients", who are more like friends. Each session I not only get to meet and learn about new people, but I also learn about myself and new ways of doing things. Just wanted to say, thanks for all for putting your trust in me and my abilities!

With that being said, here is a precious family I was able to capture memories for, the Ratzlaffs; Amanda, Dustin, 16 month old Eli, and four week old Emerson.

Photography: Aubryn's 2 Year

On a cloudy Sunday I met with Aubryn and her mom Ginger.  Aubryn was turning 2, and as most 2 year olds she didn't want to smile on command or stay still, (I totally get this) but she was the sweetest and we were able to get a few keepers!

Life Lately: Crew and Me: Crew Pics

I knew this year would fly by because of all the transitions we had made, moving, apartment living, building and moving again. You are probably thinking, it's September what is she saying "a year"? I am marking my year by Crew's birthday in October because that's when things really went crazy around the Hafner house. It's been 11 months and it did go by too fast as expected, and I can't believe I'm already making birthday plans. It makes me kind of sad because I wonder, did I soak up all the memories I could over the past year? I hope I didn't let time get away from me and ignore some of Crew's achievements as an infant. I did crunch my iPhone in our old couch recliner and lost all of Crew's milestones I had recorded in the notes section of my phone, so his baby book might be a tad fudged (hashtag mom fail).

With big brother away at school on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a few hours Crew and I are able to have some time together which I'm really enjoying. The moments without a toddler in tow are so... quiet! Thursday we went to downtown Roanoke and took a few photos for Crew's birthday invitations. I'm kind of behind the ball on that, second child probs. It wasn't easy doing this solo, usually I have Mark to position him and make him laugh but I think I did okay :) One of these should work for his invitation, not bad for 10 minutes, mission accomplished!
