Running with Randomness: Photography: Bragging on the Well Deserved

I have this friend. She. Is. Amazing.

I daydream about doing a lot of things; she DOES a lot of things, and does them well.

Her name is Katie Chandler. Let me tell you a little about her.

In 2009 I had to honor of meeting Katie when I hired her to work at the boutique I was managing in Austin at the time. She looked young, but didn't act it. Come to find out she was currently in her second or third year at Texas State and was 18... Ya, those number didn't add up for me either. She graduated high school early people.

Her and I just clicked; and even though our age difference is almost 6 years it felt like we had so much in common. Petite, sweet Katie, 18 years old, with the mentality of a driven 25 year old.

Not even a year later Katie and I both were no longer working at the boutique yet we still kept in touch. About 4 1/2 years have gone by since that fateful day that I hired her, and here is where the real bragging begins...

Katie graduated high school early as I mentioned, enrolled in college earlier than most, graduated college early as well (not on the 5-7 year plan like most of us) with a bachelors degree in HealthCare Administration. She is now working as an HR manager for a 106 bed, privately owned hospital, with 500 employees. She is also the co-owner and co-creator of Southern Crown Boutique, an adorable online boutique. Oh, I'm not done. She is currently working on her masters in Business Administration at Concordia Austin. She is 22.

I'd tell you where I was in my life at 22 but we don't have time for the humiliation I would bring upon myself and shame I would bring to my family, ha!
