Crew's First Birthday! Pics and Party

My handsome little (big) boy is ONE! The week before his birthday Mark, Copelan and I headed to my favorite picture spot, Grapevine Botanical Gardens, to do a smash cake/one year photo shoot for Crew. Little did I know that my own child would be my worst photography subject. 

This little guy is fast and does not care to take direction. Instead he flashes his smile and turns the other way to run. Oh well, we tried and got a few good ones; but still my dreams of all these cute Pinterest worthy poses were shot to dust.

The family pics weren't going as planned either.

Crew hated his cake. Hate-ed. 

Don't worry Crew, mommy didn't spend two hours baking this two-tired cake you tossed aside like garbage. Tear.

The next Saturday we celebrated Crew at our home in Roanoke with family and friends.

 We chose a Camping/Fall Theme for the party.
